Welcome to the Black Creek Cafe & Treasures Blog!

Black Creek Café & Treasures is located at 3276 Main Street/Rt. 104 in Mexico, New York. The café is an eclectic coffee shop offering locally roasted coffee from Taste the World and ‘from scratch’ bakery items created by the pastry chefs at Canal Commons Bakery, both located in Oswego, New York. We retail unique handmade gifts created by local artists and craftspeople in Oswego County and the greater Central New York region.

Black Creek Café  & Treasures seeks to provide a memorable experience for our guests by providing a warm, friendly and casual atmosphere to gather and shop while fostering community connections. We offer events such as Music for a Mission, art shows, and short-term fundraisers such as gift basket raffles for specific charities. In addition, the café provides two unique and free community ‘Give and Take’ displays:  the “Little Free Library” book swap and ‘My Neighbors Cupboard’ food pantry. Sales of our doggie cookie bags support our Muddy Paws Rainy Day Fund that assists pet owners with emergency veterinarian bills. Patronage of the Black Creek Café  & Treasures also supports local non-profits with up to 5% of our monthly net profits donated to a different non-profit organization every month.

Black Creek Café’s fun, eclectic, and relaxed atmosphere as well as its support for local artists and craftspeople will set it apart from other businesses in the area. We believe that this unique combination and the integration of community engagement within a private business enterprise is very attractive to our patrons. Located at the crossroads of Oswego County, the Black Creek Café  & Treasures aims to be a unique and welcoming gathering place for the enjoyment of residents of and visitors to Oswego County
